I have taught older adult exercise for longer than I care to remember. I’m well-known to the elderly in Perthshire having taught classes locally. Many GPs continue to refer patients to me with a wide variety of conditions including arthritis, osteoporosis, obesity and diabetes. When working with older clients, specialist training is required. When you consider that older exercisers are usually dealing with more than one age-related condition, it’s important to thoroughly understand each condition in order to work effectively to achieve optimal results.
